Know Your Values.
Parent Your Way.
There’s no better parent than a parent like you.
Our Method
Know Your Values
What matters most?
What is your definition of a “good” parent?
Parent Your Way
Align decisions with values with the Clarify, Connect, Choose method.
Find Confidence
I used to feel like I couldn’t get parenting right.
Now I know I can’t get it wrong.
Why I built this method
Hi, I’m Claire.
I’m a Clinical Social Worker, a mom of one, and sick of being told the “right” way to parent.
I created A Parent Like You to help parents find what feels right to them.

Why This Matters
1
You don’t doubt yourself anymore.
You know what’s important to you so you can make confident decisions.
2
You are less stressed.
You spend less time trying to get it right and more time being you.
3
Parenting is enriched.
Fulfillment = alignment of values and behaviors. More of what you love, less of what you don’t.
-
Values are personal judgements of what is most important in life. They represent ideals to continually work towards yet, unlike goals, are never “achieved.”
-
Knowing your values is the key to unlocking a meaningful life. Values allow you to clarify what type of life you want to live so you can start making decisions that bring you closer to that goal.
When the choices we make are in alignment with our values, we feel happier, more fulfilled, less stressed, and more confident.
-
Parenting is full of decisions, from which diaper brand to use to how to approach discipline, and it is overwhelming. Every parent wants to do a good job, but it’s hard to know what that looks like.
Your sister tells you to do one thing, your baby books say another, social media insists if you choose wrong, you’re an awful parent. There’s so many competing opinions out there of what “good” parenting looks like, who a “good” parent is.
Well, how would they know? They aren’t you!
Your values become decision making criteria that give you the structure and confidence to make parenting decisions that actually resonate with your intuition and express what’s important to you.
Because that’s what a good parent is — A Parent Like You.
